First bike I ever bought too, with my Saturday job money. I recently restored one and its sitting in the garage looking brand new. As a matter of interest can you remember why you bought a Kingpin?

I must admit I've long forgotten why we chose it, it was brought on hire purchase under my Dads name and I made all the payments out of my paper round money.

Similar story to me, my mums bloke bought it, and I paid him back ten bob a week. The bike cost £35.15s.3d

I got 15 bob a week from the paper round, like you I was paying 10 bob a week on the HP on the bike, I remember my Mum suspended my 5 bob a week board money until the bike was paid off.
