I would guess it was bought as a frameset, or as a conversion for someone who doesn't want to / can't ride drops.

Thats not in the same league as a Cervelo, so i can understand that.

Maybe. I didn't when I converted the PX but was more a between bike transplant job

About a month back I came across someone riding a **very** similar bike - a cervelo with flat bars. She was a lady rider in (I'm guessing) her early to mid 70s, she wasn't hanging about and didn't look too out of puff. If I'm able to turn a crank anything like that in 20-30 years time then I'll be happy.
