Someone on here had a friend with a degenerative spine condition and swapped handlebars to continue riding.

Perhaps they have orthopaedic problems and can't ride with their hands in a supinated position?
Maybe , i find flat bars give me problems compared to drops , i have dodgy nerve in my neck that i do physio exercises for that give pins and needles in my hand and flat bar arm position seems to aggravate it but drops dont so much ..

I run 'bullhorns' on a couple of my bikes, best compromise on hand positions for me.
