Doable in a Volvo XC70.....

They have close on the same wading capacity as a stock defender. The danger, aside from trashing the car, is hydraulic pressure washing it away. If you're not comfortable walking through it in normal footwear then you ought not be driving any vehicle through it, no matter how rugged, unless you've been trained to do so.

So, in johhnos position I'd have left them there.

Could never take a vehicle out on lease PCP.... Prefer just buying a second hand car then knowing the ins and outs of it.... anyway, that's another discussion and no doubt a thread exists somewhere on that!
