I am cycling 7 miles home each night from work 5 days a week. If I eat fairly well, is there a chance I will notice a difference in toning etc? It would be great if this could help me tone my lower half.
Try to push yourself a little as you get used to it.

You cant really target a specific area to 'tone'( if you meant fat loss). You might see fat loss in some areas more than others or even not at all. If its fat loss generally you want, cycling is great. If its toning as in building muscle then weights are the only way to go.
