Gmail will collect hotmail. You might not like it but it's worth a try.

Does your ISP not provide a webmail service?Yet more frustration with Microsoft today.
My hotmail account has been 'upgraded' by them to Outlook.
Fine, but the page is a bit cramped on my MacBook.
Microsoft has the answer, 'get more space' it says. 'sign up for Ad-Free Outlook'.
Worth a go, especially as the next page says the cost is a small one-off payment.
Next click takes me straight to the payment page to enter my card details.
Problem: it doesn't tell me how much I have to pay.
Typical Microsoft, it's as if they set out to frustrate and annoy.
It's one of the reasons why I will not use Windows, which is just as counter-intuitive and user unfriendly.
I have to concede Microsoft appear to make loads of money, so probably have little need to worry about the likes of me who has been using 'free' hotmail for years.
It's still frustrating, and to give the first answer to my question: I can't see Microsoft changing anytime soon.

And sky used to use gmail, now I see they use yahoo mail. There is no point going for a sky branded email address with either, just get your own direct.Yes, but it's Sky and like so many Sky telly customers I'm always on the brink of binning it so I'm not keen to get even more ensnared by adopting their email.
That won't happen, according to Microsoft VP and former Insider Program lead Gabe Aul:Just wait til the people who have 'upgraded' to Windows 10 find out that it is a subscription operating system with a yearly charge (for updates)
If Windows didn't have so many weaknesses and 'back doors' there would never be a need for so many 'updates' and 'hot fixes'.That won't happen, according to Microsoft VP and former Insider Program lead Gabe Aul:

Consumer upgrades have never made much money for MS. The idea behind Windows as a service is to get away from big upgrades every few years to make it easier for MS to provide security updates and present a single platform for developers to target.
Don't hold your breath...If Windows didn't have so many weaknesses and 'back doors' there would never be a need for so many 'updates' and 'hot fixes'.
I await Windows 11.
I may go to Linux when the support for 7 ends.Don't hold your breath...
I'm using Hormail less and less and moving more towards Gmail. The only thing I really dislike though about Gmail is its horrendous Conversation View. Luckily you can turn it off on the desktop version, but not unfortunately on the Android App.
