I have been scanning ebay for winter stuff and they have long sleeve tops and bib leggings combos for most of the top pro teams kits for between £32-40 depending on postage. Looking at the Liquigas kit due to the nice bright colours ( Gotta be seen!) but my question is are they any good or will they last three rides and fall apart or are they not fit for purpose ie keeping warm when riding.

Does anyone have any experiance of this kit? Seems a bit too good to be true for the price?

Any feedback gratefully recieved.

in the search button top right put in 'Chinese clothing'. You will find plenty of threads asking the same thing.

I would tend to buy in UK in sales from the likes of Decathalon/Wiggle DHB or during Lidl offers. Similar sort of price and less hassle.

Do you get stung with customs, VAT and delivery charges?
I have bought some small electronic bits from China but with a value of less that a couple of quid had no hassle, but I have wondered about more expensive items.

Depends if the seller marks the value down on the customs form's, if they state full value, you will have to pay the going rate, if they mark as gift below the threshold then you will often get away with it. Problem with that is, in doing so, you forgo shipping insurance of the full value.

sorry to be a negative nelly but i bought a long sleeve top from a company in china and all i can say is , if that was a quality top what all the big boys wear - give me a normal one anytime ! it would pass as a cervelo top at a distance - if you closed one eye and squinted with the other - through dark glasses - in fog . but it just doesn't feel right everything screams cheap from the material to the zip - personally i wish i had saved a bit more and got one on sale somewhere here - at least then if anything went wrong i could send it back if not happy -- hope that helps

I wangled a "free sample" of - ahem - "SKY" kit off one Chinese supplier. Quite comfy to wear, but horribly slow to dry compared with anything else. Oh and they got the logo on the sleeves the wrong way up !

This kit is mediocre quality and fit at best. Plus you'll look like a fool dressed up head to toe in Liquidgas colours.

thanks again for all the feedback positive and negative, it all helps. Except the last comment above. Why the Liquigas hate? Your not the guy riding around all in black in the evenings with no lights are you.........

Pro team kit is just wrong, especially fake stuff. I have plenty of lights and reflective bits thanks.... without looking like a tool.
