This is political correctness gone mad.

Everybody knows that cars can do whatever the chuff they like, so long as they don't hit other cars, shorely?

(I believe you're not allowed to hit pedestrians or cyclists on the test, but after that, no one much cares).

I suspect it's just some woman who just wanted her 5 mins fame on the local news (I saw it on ours last night) - she says she's a competent driver but it was very wet and so puddles are (un)avoidable (it sounded like she said avoidable on the news - lol)... but unless there was traffic coming the other way she should have moved around it.

It made me laugh the way she then said that she'd have to spend another 200 - 300 pounds on lessons to make sure she was ready to retake her test... doesn't sound very competent to me!!

It's a bit odd that it's classed as a crash, but otherwise it's entirely appropriate that she failed. Shouldn't really even make the news - I thought it was common knowledge that one could fail for drenching a pedestrian. The fact that anyone is "looking into it" and is giving her space to whinge about it is rather worrying. I hope he sends her an expensive dry cleaning bill...

It's indicative of the whole mentality of this country that instead of attempting to understand why her actions led to her failing the test she is simply concerned with how much money it is going to cost her and how she can sue the driving instructor for failing her 'erroneously'.

I wouldn't worry. "Looking into it" is usually bureaucracyspeak for "filing in the bin".

Excellent. I've only just noticed that she's in the funeral business. Perhaps someone should be "looking into" her interest in endangering the lives of hapless pedestrians...

you can't do that. the only avenue for appeal is if the examiner has carried out the test incorrectly. even then, you only get a refund of the test fee.

Maybe the driver thought this sign meant
"Peds beware - I'm going through a puddle"

It was classed as a crash because she damaged the pedestrians clothing by splashing him/her with water. She should have stopped and exchanged details as the ped would have had a legitimate claim for the damage caused.

Good that she failed. She could have slowed down - I do that when I have no choice but to go through a puddle and there are peds around in my car. Boo ****ing hoo you have to spend hundreds on more lessons, sounds like you dont deserve to be out on the roads anyway.
