No, it's council or counsel which are the two different words.

I don't have much of an issue with spelling, but anybody who has seen much I have typed might think otherwise. My typing is appalling.

I dunno. Words just work for me. Always have. Unfortunately my handwriting was terrible, so for years nobody got to appreciate my spelling. The arrival of the word processor in the 1980s made a big improvement to my life.

I can spell it but always miss out the second "il" when saying it.

Not that I say it very often.
