World Cup Predictions - Pick the Score

Right, I need something to keep me interested in the World Cup, so I'll be running another league on here. It'll work a bit like the Premier League in the league games - 3 points for a correct score, 1 point for a correct result, 0 points for the rest. Each player can nominate a team of their choice and, if that team gets eliminated, we'll continue with the team that eliminated them or the pool-winning team. For the elimination games, the points will go up (at a rate I haven't decided yet - open to suggestions but I'll have to get it set up this weekend.) For the knock out games, wins in normal time will be awarded points in the normal way. If you predict a draw in normal time, then you'll have to give an AET result. If that's still a draw, you'll have to predict the winner of the shoot out.

We should have bonus points for predicting the final winner, bonus points for guessing who will eliminate England in the quarter finals, etc. Any others?


Just let me know if you'll be playing and nominate a team if you want. And any bonus points awards that you can think of.
Right, to kick things off I'll nominate Switzerland.

This bit not set in stone but initial thoughts are Spain/Germany final, England out before Q.F, Holland to do very well Q.F at least.

Brazil isn't a bad shout. They've cunningly used their shambolic hosting preparations as a shield which has deflected attention away from Neymar. Assuming he shows up and stays on his feet, he's capable of destroying teams with little assistance.
