Although a big fan of a certain brand of football, its international counterpart has no interest for me now. I can't see England getting out of their group so will be home in double-sweet time. I will then spend the rest of the tournament hoping all the players of my team come home injury free. I do hope all the auld wimmin seen on here in recent months decrying Lionel Messi's abilities have to reluctantly accept that after Vinnie Jones in his pomp, Messi is indeed the finest player to have a dodgy hairc.... play football.

He made two howlers in the game for me. That was never a penalty and there was nowt wrong with Croatia's second. The level of protection afforded keepers these days is ridiculous.

Brazil weren't great tonight. Dominated possession but never really threatened. They were lucky that Cesar was only really tested twice, as he looked rubbish! Still, fully expect both sides from tonight to get through. Assuming Brazil come top, Croatia will have a tough time against Spain, Holland or Chile.

It always has been and always will be - when I used to play at a completely crap level I complained that the keepers fell down just because I smashed them in the face with my elbow or stuck a stud or two in their ribs...
