Skunk Anansie - no redeeming features whatsoever.

The only gig I've ever walked out of was Grandaddy.

Spirit. And the Eagles. And Fleetwood Mac

Although I defer to those who have proposed Oasis. Randy California never quite plumbed the depths inhabited by the Gallaghers.

Queen.

But I'm not sure whether the band qualify individually, or whether the rest of them get dragged down by that self indulgent, smug faced, bubble permed, carton of self-loving monkey jizz, May.

When you start talking about Fleetwood Mac and Elton John it's just getting silly. Anyone who could consider 'Goodbye Yellow Brick' Road and 'Rumours' anything other than brilliant albums isn't worth listening to. The quality of both the song writing and musicianship on both is superb and seldom equaled these days.

My only walk out was the Cure. They seemed to be only playing tracks from the latest album, which I believe was that dirge-athon Disintegration. Bored s***less after an hour or so off home I went!

i went to see them on that tour. i must admit i felt that they would be better in a smaller venue (than the NEC). i'm more a fan of their earlier work really.

This was a multi band gig at Finsbury Park to raise awareness for the future XFM. They were headlining. Most of the other bands were pretty crap, too, if I remember rightly. One of them was Sugar and Bob Mould is a really bad singer! The Cure just topped off a poor day with a poor set.

I'm partial to a bit of Elton John, washed down with rose, but I hold to my view on Fleetwood Mac - and Rumours is the very album I had in mind. Freeway music. And I used to listen to it driving round Los Angeles on the freeways. Too bland for mortal flesh to endure.

Which brings me to...the Dandy Warhols. Walked out of one of their gigs. And I wasn't alone.

Surely Queen have to be challenging. In the sea of turgid, pointless bores, they stand out as the turgidest (is that a word? It is now), pointlessest (see contents of previous brackets) boringest most pathetic worthless pile of poop ever.

Good call. Queen truly were abysmal cynical rubbish.

But I must remind you of the thread title. We aren't looking for very bad pompous egotistical self-indugent rubbish bands.

We are looking for the worst band ever. That means you can't have solo artists and you can't have multiple entries. They must by definition be considered bad bands not the worst band ever.

We are looking for the worst band ever.

And that is Coldplay.
