Warning - before reading this make sure you are lying down. I don't want you don't faint again - you may do yourself an injury

I agree with Pete.

I never found them even remotely funny.

Just shows how we are all different etc.

What was that appalling one about the dentist (played by Wolfy out of Citzen Smith)? It was terrible, in fact it was as bad as American junk like Friends ... you know the sort of thing: (pause because now I'm going to deliver a really funny line in a wholly unnatural way) ... say line which turns out to be woefully unfunny and stilted.

The woman who played his wife is normally a good actress too. How can you have a good caste doing a lousy show?

I suppose there ought to be some mention of those in the "It's so bad, it's good" category. I mean those programmes which we don't like to admit we were glued to, that were trite but we still devoured them avidly. I suppose the recent Outcasts (already mentioned) comes into that category. I watched every episode, even resorting to 'catch-up' on Iplayer. But, considered as SF, it's cr@p. Why couldn't they have taken a 'colonists' theme from an established SF author, coughed up the TV rights, and used that?

Maybe I should mention London's Burning. Yes, it got 'soapier' and 'soapier' as series followed series, but still I used to watch it! And drink in every inconsequential and irrelevant line. I think in the end the actors and production team rose up in revolt, said "we don't want to appear in this cr@p any longer"... The scriptwriters retaliated by 'killing' everyone off - in a cliffhanger which became the last episode of the last series. And it's not been heard of since - thankfully....

Worst ever? No idea, I tend not to watch stuff I think will be crap... consequently I'm in no position to comment on many of shows mentioned so far!

That said, I've seen episodes of all 3 of the CSI franchises (Miami, Manhatten and Las Vegas), the latter is easily the best (imho) being a bit darker and grittier than the others but none are what I'd call worth setting the video for. Miami is trite crap, and Manhatten is offensive crap.

I tend to react most strongly to stuff I feel is unduly credited (and have been suckered into watching) so I personally couldn't abide 'Only Fools and Horses'. But saying 'Hi Di Hi' or 'ello ello' (or whataver) was crap is only going to get a shoulder shrug from me... not seen such stuff but what did you expect?

Aye, I agree but thought it was passable with Kris Marshall in it. Since he left, a poor show went poorer until it got pooriester and finally became poorest.

Deal Or No Deal - ITS FU*KING RANDOM, STOP TRYING TO SAY THAT IT SOMEHOW ISN'T!!

And breath.

It's interesting to watch a person display his/her greed. If someone (legitimately) offered you £20k and said "Deal or no deal?" who would say "no deal"?

Some of those people could really help out their families, other people, etc. if they just dealt rather than pursuing greed and the slim, slim possibility of getting the top prize.

I know, but I was talking about N*el Edm*nds who just witters on and on and on, trying to make out there is some sort of order to it.

Actually, I was in a pub when I overheard someone mention the worst television programme ever: The Black and White Minstrel Show. It wasn't so much the racism I hated; it was that it was so shite.

Was there one callled "White horses" or something ? i think it was a dubbed over jobby

White Horses was sh1te, it was a major turn off on a Sunday morning. I used to prefer The Flashing Blade even though that was also dubbed and I recently watched some on youtube and it was sh1te also, but I enjoyed it as a kid. The other dubbed program I used to love as a kid was The Water Margin, then it was replaced with Monkey which even as a kid I thought was utter trash. I agree with Heidi also being rubbish, god knows whom used to watch that crap.
