I still fancy one of the ‘W123’ estates
The 80’s models with the lovely thin chrome roof-rails, & colour-matched hubcaps

Or, a UniMog….

Daughter has an A-Class ‘AMG Line’(?), that has absolutely no appeal for me

Me too but wiring loom were biodegradable! Or was that the later model!
And the one after that rusted like an Alfa!!

I saw a video just the other day where a Volvo drove 721,000 miles (almost 1.2 million km). Iirc there was an engine swap half way.

Search on YouTube for Gentils Garage 721000 miles. He then sold it to another youtuber who will get it MOT'd and back on the road.

That 190E.... They did not appeal to my heart when I was younger but I knew there was something about them that I liked but I just could not tell what that was.

The guy who put the miles on:

I think, like a lot of German motors they deserved their rep for longevity and robustness up until maybe the mid-late '90s; then they all started to dissolve / drop to bits.

As a kid I always hankered after an SL of some description, I'd also love a W123 Coupe or even a saloon in a trendy retro brown / beige / green slammed on steelies and preferably running something naughty inside :becool:

As a teenager I had a paper round and if the owner was a lad short we would end up doing two routes and the second would be the big houses around Penn driving from house to house in a 500sl! And I got paid double!
Paid for the auto express magazine!!
