Crossing the Talbach stream, on the descent into the Neckar valley: here, or hereabouts...

The Talbach valley was the key to building the main railway line to the Swiss border in 1879, avoiding a long diversion: it was the only point in Württemberg that a line could be engineered into the Neckar valley, which itself was the best route between the Black Forest and Swabian Jura.
