On one bridge looking towards a much older one. There are a few of these, built on the stone abutments built by the railway company. I assume that the original bridges went for scrap when the line was lifted. Why build them as S-bends though. Surely a straight bridge would be cheaper to make and no issue when meeting other cyclists.

It'll be something to do with making them look 'more organic' and not as manmade I reckon. Painting the railings red somewhat spoils the effect however.... :laugh:. Still a cracking bridge and cycle way though.
