I read somewhere that it's not technically possible to be born a cockerney now due to noise pollution.

Out of interest, where to? I know bolton a bit. Agree that it has seen better days. A damn impressive town hall -always wonder what fills it.
Aye the town hall remains as impressive as ever, and along with Le Man's Crescent behind it they're both still popular with film productions. The last one I can recall was in Peaky Blinders.

As for future destination's we have friends on Orkney so that's a definite on the list, but it's all pie in the sky whilst older dependant's remain dependant ^_^

I'm an African. Born in the Lady Chancellor Maternity Hospital, Salisbury Southern Rhodesia. I think the hospital still exists, despite everything.

I'm told that the maternity hospital I was born in is now the site of the large shopping centre (The Shires?) in Leicester.
Yep, well the site is now covered by a shopping centre ( If it was Bond St Maternity hospital) I was born at Westcotes.
The shopping centre is called 'The Highcross' and also covers the old St Margarets swimming pool which was 'Olympic length' until the tiles were applied, it was then 3 inches too short.
