They did that to Leicester too, in the late 60s they demolished the 'Blue Boar Inn' the place Richard III spent his last night. Bet they wish it was still standing now.

Aye the town hall remains as impressive as ever, and along with Le Man's Crescent behind it they're both still popular with film productions. The last one I can recall was in Peaky Blinders.Out of interest, where to? I know bolton a bit. Agree that it has seen better days. A damn impressive town hall -always wonder what fills it.
Yep, well the site is now covered by a shopping centre ( If it was Bond St Maternity hospital) I was born at Westcotes.I'm told that the maternity hospital I was born in is now the site of the large shopping centre (The Shires?) in Leicester.
