CB sauvignon was one of 2 wines that really turned my head to wine - over 25 years ago! Now I find CB SB poor value, quality still ok. Chardonnay is better.

Recently I have been moving to more fuller bodied wines with the change of season. Things like southern Rhones, lightly oaked white Rioja and Pecorino. Pacifico Sur Chardonnay and Simonsvlei Chenin Blanc remain on the rack all year round.

More interesting (as opposed to the 'everyday' ones above) whites opened recently include:
2001 Huet Le Mont, Vouvray - still astonishingly fresh with bags of flavour; fantastic with roast chicken and a creamy chicken and mushroom dish
2000 Trimbach Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives - excellent as an aperitif and not bad with an apple sponge dessert
NV Hostomme Cuvée Tradition - the 'house' champagne here!

In answer to OP's question, it is the wine in my glass in front of me now!
