Oh the Tom and Jerry comments made me laugh....my son (autism) was about 10 and was watching i one day when his older brother came into the room.
Brother: Why are you watching that? It's rubbish!
Son: It is not! It's for special kids!
Brother: What???
Son: It's for children who are deaf you moron!!!!!
He thought because there was no talking.....
Moving cartoons-wise I like Wile-E Coyote,
To me, speech is cheap, so yes, I always liked (still do) Wyle E and also Pluto, purely because of the extra amount of work required to convey what could have been said in a few seconds, along with the odd little in jokes.
I particularly like the early Wyle E Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons due to the amount of artwork in them. Take a look and you will see how good they really were, and that insane landscape was certainly the 3rd character in it all!!
The later ones were pish though.
I've never seen Cow And Chicken.
For printed cartoons I am a Gary Larson fan
Yes, although Calvin And Hobbs was good too!!
