Does it looking like grey snot not guarantee its effectiveness? How disappointingI think the OP should be banned from posting about this oil until he/she can produce a peer-reviewed paper from a recognised technical institute which demonstrates its effectiveness.
All lubes probably have something similar written on the side of the bottle.
I accept that the world probably doesn't need another thread on chain lubes, but let's at least have an intelligent discussion on those that there are.
Then why start by making sneering digs at the OP? Could have just asked nicely in the first place. Might have made a friend that way and the world would be a beautiful place, full of all manner of wonderful things.
Citius.... You need to get laid!
Mine is this
Recommended to me last autumn by my lbs.
t comes out of the bottle like pearlescent grey snot and really does do what it says in the blurb.
After a winter's riding through all the fifth on the country lanes, I've just mickled my chain and again it's come up gleaming.
I'm certainly going to keep with it.
Extra virgin is especially good!@ColinJ has some links for using cooking oil as lube
Er, that was a joke BTW - boring perhaps, but my extra virgin olive oil is only used for meals!
I don't have a favorite. But simply stating that something is your favorite and then seemingly avoiding (and the OP does seem to be being deliberately obtuse on this matter) all questions as to why it might be his favorite, does seem strange - and slightly at odds with the idea of a forum, where the objective is to enable people to make informed choices, rather than relying on blind faith, no?
Perhaps it would be easier if I didn't ask any more questions on this - they're obviously too difficult to answer
