Your favourite version of Nessun Dorma ?

This should divide opinions nicely .
First off......I am not in ANY way musically gifted.
I have always enjoyed the one I own by Pavorotti.
Today I heard one by Russell Watson and was gob smacked.....quite different to Pavarotti but it made the hairs stand up and I found it very moving.
The gifted purists may 'diss' it but it ticked all the boxes for me.

Pavarotti by a mile. Russell is good but...

He may be more "all rounder" than Pavaotti but if you havent done so have a listen to his version......it really is very good.

For me it's the Pavarotti version.
At the moment it just grates on me because it's so overused. In the same vein when anyone wants to hear Morricone they get Gabriel's Oboe.
Russell Watson has his place but doesn't have the power. Sort of like a lady called Keedie that popped up a few years ago - No-one could decide where to pigeonhole her so she effectively disappeared, even though her voice was astonishing. But then crossover hadn't really kicked in back then.
