I thought it would be interesting to share photos from earlier this year when we were in full lockdown, for me it wasn't all bad, a couple of months off work, time with the family and plenty of time out on the bikes.

Here are some photos which capture a flavour of my lockdown (when I wasn't building bikes!)

Both ends of Felixstowe seafront on the first Sunday in April of the first lockdown. On any other day with that sort of weather, you wouldn't have been able to move for parked cars and people walking along the prom. Pics taken while on my bike on the way home from work.

I work at home anyway, so not all that much changed for me. And OH can relatively easily work at home. Spent a lot more weekends in the garden than we might otherwise have done.

Wisteria season, on the way to Malmesbury. The pub next to the Abbey was also covered in it. Lovely.

Young coal tit (I think) that used our pond to discover it couldn't actually swim. Eventually pooed on my hand and flew off.

A socially distanced trip to a poppy field (had to work hard not to get other people in the shots!)

It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good. Lockdown was a chance to cycle on busy roads I've never dared to ride before or since.
