I've been waiting for a package all day and when it arrived I wanted to get straight onto the job i had lined up. In my impatience I thought i'd save some time rather than go hunting for my work gloves which weren't in their usual place - I knew it was a risk and I was extra careful, but that stubborn little bolt had other ideas.

Remember kids, play it safe and wear gloves when changing a chainring!

Don't rush things.

And make sure ALL the bits taken off the bike go back on it!

Always wear kneepads when riding your bmx (sorry, that's advice from the 1980s, on kids tv)

OK then, always pump your tyres up till they are rock hard* and you'll get fewer punctures

(*except on my sister-in-laws kids' pushchair, which I 'helpfully' pumped up without checking max pressure and promptly destroyed the tyre and had to go buy a new one while she panicked coz she had to be somewhere and it took ages and now she doesn't look at me as kindly as she used to)
