Yesterday now; 60km in the morning on me tod. Weather was looking good first thing so I chanced it and it stayed that way. Then 90km club ride in the afternoon, looked decidedly ify weatherwise but decided to chance it... wrong! Five of us started, 2 pulled out within 10km because the skies were starting to darken. And I mean really dark and angry. The remaining 3 of us got drenched several times by passing squalls, took refuge in a bus shelter for 10 minutes to allow the worst of one to pass. It was weird; the squall would pass, wind would drop and the sun would appear. We'd dry out... until the next squall. I actually enjoyed it

Got home and the misses said the weather had been windy but otherwise ok. ;)

22:54 tonight - getting quicker.

good work will, you got a pic of your TT set up  please

i went backwards tonight, only a 27.34 on a hilly windy course xx(
still 3rd out of 15 though

A Short 32 miles tonight I couldn't get motivated into a strong wind and only average 15mph out. I probably should have pushed on a bit further with the wind behind me on the way back I averaged 18.5mph without having to try hard. Only positive I had a sure calf it eased up on the road bike so it must be the hybrid causing it. As far as I can tell the bikes are set up the same I'll have to investigate cleat angle next.

20 to 25 mile extended commute this afternoon, glorious sunshine, light breeze, top off, shorts on. (does anyone else ride without a top...i love it)
Couple of muppets in traffic who insist on closing down the cycle lane so you cant get past...i dont even rise to it anymore. Just whip around them if the circumstances allow...or bide your time...cos in traffic, you know you'll get them a little further up the road

I rode to a few lbs after work unfortunately none of them stocked a 110mm standard (or not so standard) stem. Watch the Tour series on ITV 4 then went for a quick blast 6.7miles at 19.2mph the route is mostly flat except the 500m or so 7.5% up Crammond Glebe Road.

Came downstairs yesterday morning to see the the rear tyre was misshapen. round at the top and flat at the bottom. Was pushed for time so jumped on the MTB which now doesn't have clipless pedals. Made it to work and back OK but feet were sliding around a bit, a good reminder on how good the clipless pedals really are and not having them fitted is no good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

200km yesterday. A bit warm towards the end and I drank around 1.5 litres (of water) in the last couple of hours. I was out just before 7am planning on taking my time and just enjoying the ride. At 60km I road into a town that had their morning market on, so I stopped and had a coffee and just enjoyed the happenings. The next 30km where stupendously beautiful! Then out into flatlands; hard work against a slight breeze with nowhere to hide - like riding against a resistance machine. That set the tone and my plans for taking it easy kind of went of the window! Finished my ride 3 hours ahead of the arrival time I'd told my wife! I'd meant to stop for lunch somewhere but somehow I just kept going. Might get 50 in later (when the heat's gone out of the day) but dunno yet.
