No ride today. Ridden every day for past 6, but too busy. Which may mean legs feel fresher tomorrow - then again...

Yesterday - down to Brighton and back. In times gone by my lungs have given out before my legs, but now, with the passing years, the legs go first. So - down the A23 and B2036 into a bit of a wind, in 3 hours without touching the small chainring. Tough on the buttocks, tough on the thighs, but well worth it. A late environmentally, electrolytically, ecologically, ergonomically balanced breakfast at the Madeira (as in no black pudding) and then back up the road to Horley, then a diversion to show a passing cyclists the way home by way of Lonesome Lane and Reigate Hill, which is covered in loose chippings, hence a sort of comedy wheelspin routine. Has a Lucozade Sport at the top of the hill, and, wow! whatever they put in that stuff is fantastic, Finished off in fine fettle.

Today, off on a recce ride with Flying Dodo, User10571 and Andrij. Up hill and down dale, and some of it off-road. Very off-road. Packed in at Faversham, to get home for a birthday barby. Kent is blooming all over - I'd never been to Newnham before, which looks like it's been lifted from the lid of a chocolate box.

A fast 58 miles in the sunshine
What a great day to be out on a bike - loads of cyclists out today, all shapes and sizes which is good to see.
The views were exceptional, especially outside the pubs, all these non-cyclists in mini skirts

28.5 miles today along the TPT towards Warrington, longest ride to date.
My plan is to do 200 miles per month but am thinking of raising that to 300 already:smile:

A mere 18 miler today but first ride for a while so not too shabby. Good fun apart from the number of flies I swallowed!

48 miles today with Ian and I was going well until about 30 miles in. My legs for the first time really started to hurt and I tried to keep going but it was no use so I officially bonked. Even after 2 gels my legs just wouldn't go any further. I have done 65 miles before in one go so I put it down to not riding for a couple of weeks.

Some amazing scenery, saw Lullingstone Roman Villa for the first time in 20 years and fantastic weather made up for my bonk moment.... cheers for the ride Ian and sorry again for the bonk !

Did an 87 mile ride with longers. Longers wasn't there the whole time but me, Dan Bo and Longers met up and did Holme Moss. It was scorching out there later on. Did this climb over the A635 for the first time. No wonder the Manchester lot don't mind meeting up in Holmfirth!

Mountainbiking on the Southern Upland Way today in the area of Wanlockhead which is the highest village in GB. Quite a lot of climbing as you can imagine
