I set off at about 10 am when it was still cloudy and cool , no sign of the sun.
Just over four hours later I limped home after 100 km feeling like a limp dish cloth. It was so hot in Richmond Park the fallow deer were eating lying down.

Went out for a 50 miler at 11.30am could only do 49 miles in 3 hours with an avg of 16 mph, due to a head wind for 25 miles, a little gutted i realy wanted to do my first 50 but it was just too hot, my bike puter said it was 36.6 degree's but i dont trust it too much.

Came home and stripped off and layed on the bed sweat dripping off me, drank about 7 pints of fluids since getting in.

Did a 34 and a bit trip to see a friend. Cider and cake mid-ride for recovery.

Started at 1400 - it was like an oven. Emptied a 1.5l Camelback before I got there.

Did 37km round trip, meeting up with Auntie Helen at a CTC recommended tea shop in Loddon. I also had a go on her trike round the car park which was fun - must add it to the list of bikes I'd like to own at some point!

Just tipped 50 miles with lunch in middle.

Boy it was hot. Took the Galaxy just to give it a run out - felt it up the hills in that heat. Cramp and sick on the way back despite taking nearly 3l of water - had another 3l since I been back. Clear pee, but still feel the need to suck it down. Hot hot hot.

Is clear pee better than yellow/dark yellow pee? Or does clear pee indicate properly hydrated?

Straw is normal. Anything darker is de-hydrated. Lighter - either had lots of water fast, or been in the pub all night!

26 miles total today, including a 21 mile extended commute tonight....18mph average :ohmy::ohmy:
Wierd, i only set off for a steady one cos of the heat (28 degrees here), but i cant do slow, i always end up going for it
Nice clear run, down on the hoods or aero against a 12mph wind, not too windy, so kept a good pace, then blasted home with the tailwind.
More or less the same ride as two days ago...but i mullered the time

Compared to some, 18mph average isnt that hot...but it the first 18 ive done i think ...and i dont even feel like i've pushed myself  Wierd !!!

Went up the NCN1 route from Ellingham Mill (between Beccles & Bungay in south Norfolk) to Norwich.

The route was overall OK but went off-road near Norwich which included a stinging nettle-bordered path (with a wide trike one side of you is in the nettles) and a gate at the end. Then I went on the bumpiest road you ever did see, for about 2 miles, so most of my fillings have rattled out.

Had lunch in Norwich, then returned southwards on the A147 (nice fast road) and arrived at Loddon where I awaited my companion for a cup of tea. Will1985 duly arrived and we had tea and cake and discussed the world, rounded off with Will having a go on my trike.

I missed my turning on the way home as I wasn't concentrating so did an extra 3-4 miles which was lovely in the sunshine!

It was good to meet Will1985 and have such a lovely 45 mile ride in the sunshine!

My ride was a short fast 32.5 miles wit a big stop halfway to see the parents I only averaged 16.7mph on the way out, (it was too hot) but on the back it was a lot better temperature and I averaged 19.2 in to a light headwind  They pints of Harviestoun I had last night with HelenD123, spandex and HJ must of been good for me I certainly could't have done that after a session of my usual (Guiness)
