My ride today was to and from a TT, it was a 13 mile hilly TT where I got 37:15 so just over 21mph average. Around 60ish miles today at around 20mph average.

On the way back home I still had the TT buzz so was going quote fast.

My last hilly was a 10.5 last year and I averaged 19.2, my aim for this TT was to get 20mph so 21 is a good result.

Doing a 10 mile flat next week, my aim is for 25 but I think if I pace myself a 24 is possible and in a few months a 23.

21 miler this morning around Wakering / Southend - first ride out since daughter number three was born a week ago. Felt good to blow the cobwebs away and start to lose the pounds gained in the last week celebrating her birth
SWMBO actually encouraged me to go out on the bike :biggrin:
Nice sunny day but a bit windy out there, and second ever ride on my new Keo pedals....had to unclip and clip behind a dustcart --- still waiting for my first clipless moment ;)

Had a nice chat with a fellow cyclist concerning the Ashes cricket.

Was off today and the weather was glorious so planned to do a 44 miler, unfortunately about 7 miles in I had an unscheduled deflation. Replaced the tube and headed for home, my spirits strangely deflated too (well it's the first one I've had since getting back on a bike). Was gonna go back out after tea, but I think I'll drink beer instead.

Beer sounds like a good idea, it is Friday and probably earned.

I did 22 miles today, along a cycle path. Today for the first time, I only stopped a couple of times to text my sister and have some water. I managed it in an hour and a half exactly. All on an uphill gradient coming back, it was tough but I loved the pain

No ride today for me apart from rolling home 1km from the station. However, I did chat to a couple of girls from Loughborough who got on the train on their way up to Glasgow to do their first tour - 200 miles up to Inverness in 10 days including a bit of sightseeing. Their MTBs weighed a ton with all the kit, but I'm sure they had been reading jimboalee's posts because the bottom gear was something like 24x34. ;)

I did a bit of that on the way home today. Was good to see very familiar viewpoints from another angle. One stopped me in my tracks and I'm going to have to go back for another look.

I also nearly had a clipless moment and grabbed onto the back of a pickup only for him to set off.

85 miles today. 30 miles to Selby then did the Solar system ride to York. Pottered round York, then had done 69 by the time I got to sister in law's house for tea. 16 hilly miles home.

Good ride all in.

Only riding for me today will be testing out my rollers briefly later once I have built them. I have been away for the week with school in Newquay, and so I will break myself back into cycling with a 50 mile club run tomorrow morning.:?:

Just got in now from a brilliant little 19.2 mile pootle but am covered in tiny fliesxx(
Nearly all my ride was up hill so will be feeling it later-about 80%of the roads had a sign saying 14% - is that as bad as it actually felt or am I genuinely fit for the scrapyard:biggrin:(as I feel I am!!)
I quite like hills, well the feeling of achievement once iv reached the top anyway, but these just went on and on with no let up:wacko::?:

I will do that route again but not tomorrow:ohmy:I shall save it for the times when I need to absolve myself of any cake-related guilt:biggrin:
