I think Wet but strangely fun best sums up the club run tonight. We got round with only a few heavy showers but nothing too bad but just as we got back to Edinburgh the heavens opened we got caught in a lightning storm. After I left the group it continued torrential and I jumped into a bus shelter to put my better waterproof and front light on, then after I got going again I got a p'ture on my rear wheel. By the time I'd changed the tube the clouds had parted and there was no need for the front light.

It cleared up tonight so I managed to get a quick circuit in after the tour highlights finished. Went out on the winter bike but did one of my best times ever! Well pleased

I picked up my new bike today, when I left Edinburgh on the train it was torrential but the moment I picked up the bike things just got better and better I'd got a return as I expected the weather to deteriorate again, it didn't and I could resist getting off at Linlithgow and cycling the last 16 miles :-)

Nowt special today, just a normal commute but on the way I clocked my 10,000th mile on the same bicycle which is a first for me.
Here's to many more

And I think I may have found my mojo again

2 weeks bliss...only downside is no ride for the same amount of time.

My ride was just a quick 12 mile spin in very windy conditions this morning but that was nothing compared to the ride of a wee chappy that just passed by my house. The way to put your child off cycling for life.....take him out on his tiny little bike and make him cycle miles in the wind then get caught in a thunder storm. He was drenched through to the skin poor wee man and looking terrified! He'll not get on his bike again for a while methinks. He only looked about 5 years old too and about to burst into tears. My hubbie offered him and his dad a lift home but they only live up the road so a little too late.

A quick 65Km -- was going to only do 20 but the weather was ideal today (now clouding over a bit) and I've just recovered from the flu so eager to get out. Never usually ride early Saturday but well blue skies not too hot could I resist....

I took the new Kinesis on the club run and it coped very well although I think the run might have been more relaxed than usual (just 18.4mph average). The bike seems to offer the higher gearing I wanted (38/52) similar to the Sirrus (30/42/52) but in a smoother, way 10 more closer spaced gears rather than 8.
