How much does it cost to Oldham?
home-Rochdale-burnley-rochdale-home. I can think of worse ways to knock out 50 miles.

75 miles today and 4400 feet of climbing, I was out for a bimble in North Wales and hadn't planned on taking this brute on (picture below) but thought as I'm off to the Lakes at the end of the month I ought to tackle something testing. I realised I was passing near the Bwlch Pen Barras so quickly modified my route to take it on, jesus, that hairpin halfway up is quite something!

Cheers Longers, I think I've now got to my fighting weight, I doubt if I'd have been able to clear the old Bwlch in one last year, or even 6 months ago!

I've got a couple of photo's to show off a weekend of cycling.

Friday:- up to Slaidburn and then to Wray and then north of Morecambe.

Towards Ingleborough.

Saturday:- Five miles with my mum including some bridlepaths on her just wheeled out of the shop that morning BSO.

No photo's

Today:- Back the "traditional" route. Quernmore, Dunsop Bridge, Left at Whitewell Inn, Owd Betts.

No photo's as I was aiming for under 5 hours elapsed and punctured 4 miles from home. But it was as a good a day as you'll ever get out there.

The ride with my mum was the best

Coming back to "civilisation" can sometimes be a let down ;)

I'd like to boast that we did 161 bales of hay as well on the Saturday. Not many compared to the tractor drivers who came about 4 ish after an already full day and left us to go to another job while the sun shone.

48 miles from Bristol over to Wales and back. Went through Chepstow, up to St. Briavels, across the river and back down to Chepstow via Tinterne. I discovered just how hilly Wales is, phew!

Looking upriver towards the power station.

Was a bit hillier than I thought it would be.

Coming back home over the Severn Bridge

I had a really nice photo of Tinterne Abbey as well but unfortunately it got corrupted. ;)
