I made the mistake of going to visit my sister at the end of my ride as it coincided with the schools coming out, just as I'm through a rbt a Police car came towards me with all sirens blazing. I don't think the school run muppet behind me even saw me until the last minute (distracted by the polis car) and had to slam on her brakes hard when there she realised there was no room.
I went out for another 15 tonight, the weather is turning wet and windy but at least the muppets seem to have dispersed.

Forced to ride into the kerb by a bus who ignored that he was required to give way for me at a chicane this morning. Wobbled all over the place and ended up sat on the top tube which was somewhat er, painful. Reported him by 'phone to Transport For London, who sounded genuinely interested. Not having much luck lately.

Fine besides some stupid bitch with an attitude blocked my lane, after barging through a pinch point, because I didn't use the cycle bypass, well I assume that's why she was pointing to the side of the road, despite me keeping up with the flow of traffic. This obviously was to much for the driver behind me who launched into a torrent of colourful abuse, as she passed the idiot to go through the pinch point, much to the shock of the mothers around. Funny thing, I wasn't going to move & now there was a steady flow of traffic going around this person in front of me, sometimes a more philosophical view of these incidents has a far more rewarding outcome.

Got out for 45 miles today, felt really easy but i can't find much in the way of hills around where i live (Northamptonshire near Rugby) just checked mapmyride and there was just 1300 ft of elevation... Not the best of practice for LEJOG, i'm going to die in Devon at this rate... anyone live around the area and know of any good hills or will i just need to go up and down the same one a few times!?

25 miles around Peterborough today, decided to stay in town where there's some shelter from the wind.
Loads of traffic about tonight, Newcastle are playing Peterboro, loads of supporters about too.
Just shy of 110 miles in the last 7 days...not bad for me.

Cycled to Wales and back (but only from Bristol) - 43 miles.
The old Severn Bridge looked impressive rising palely against the gloomy sky...
