So, last night's and this morning's cycling shenanigans.
Over the past few years. The London lockdown ride has grown massively since it first started, Run once a year, 2026 attracted over 300 riders including a good few members of this forum. But it's not me as I'm not really keen on mass group riding, especially in London. So a few of us decided to do our version.
Basically it's a 100 mile ride around London taking the shape of the COVID virus.
So myself Ross, Mark, Rob, Dan, Geoff, Adie, Dan and John met at Victoria station at 9pm Friday night and set off in very warm temperatures.
It was an enjoyable ride, helped by the fab warm weather and the great company, but not helped by the very slow going higgledy piggledy route. But it is what it is and it's the nature of the ride. Not lending itself to any real speed. But we got it done, arriving back at Victoria Station at 8am for brekkie and beers before trains home.
So scores on the doors
A tad over 100 miles for the ride and including Fridays 22 mile round commute meant I'm just three more rides away from the Eddington # of 120.
Imperial Century Ride Month #188
Imperial Century Ride #368
I was back home just after 10am, had a shower, a cuppa and a bit of a doze. Now kicking back watching the tour.
