Some members of my Sunday group planned a 153miles ride today (Saturday) and asked me. Most folk were away for my usual Saturday ride, so I went with it for a change.

The 19year old laddie (less than half my age and less than a 3rd of the oldest riders age) started struggling after just 30 miles, so it wasn't as fast as it could have been, but all credit to him finishing. He's done longer rides before but they have all been flat and the wind worked out for us. Not that today was hilly.

In contrast.... glad to be back in Oxford after a couple of miserable days at the homestead I went for an evening mosey into town and back on the tow path.

Nothing remarkable other than seeing a stoat on the way out and a stalk on the way back, along with a tractor cutting the grass on the meadow. Another gentle reminder of the changing seasons and unstoppable passage of time...
