Dry but 40 mph winds made for an interesting ride, the last dry day for quite some time

With the forecast one of my mates asked yesterday if the ride was going ahead and should he prep his winter bike, so I thought I should too.

I needn't have bothered, we modified and shortened our usual route for a dry ride. We were back 30 or 40minutes before the roads even started to see moisture and it still doesn't look torrential out there!

For tomorrow's ride I think I'll just put my winter wheels on the good bike.

I would more concerned about the forecasted wind gusts of 50mph plus than the rain.

Managed a club ride with a few other hardcore riders, a few softies dropped out.
Nice Cafe stop and ride back all be it a bit damp and breezy. Got back before it got bad.

Bringing the shopping home: first view of my village.
Enough fresh food on the bike for the week and enough dried / tinned food for a bit longer, Also a fairly solid headwind on the way back, so no speed records were set on the way home.
On the other hand, the expected torrential rain didn't materialise. So I'm calling that a win.

Zwift ride yesterday and another different endurance workout.

Also did a short spin down for 10 minutes.

HRM behaved itself so will keep an eye on the battery life as it seems to be getting through them at the moment.
