Not much of an authority on fast bikes, but i've heard plenty of chatter about the Planet X carbon job for a penny under £1000 at work, might be worth a look.

I had some Alex rims on my Spesh Allez and they were cr*p but that's not to say that they always are.

At your time of life (I might be horribly wrong here!) don't you think that a bit of top-end would work wonders? Sourcing a really good second hand bike for that money shouldn't be too difficult.

The better the bike the easier the pedalling!

Like this time of life quote .But what does top-end mean .

And i am steering towards the Caad9.LBS so near me .And the write ups are brilliant .

And the colour will not age .Like team colours going out of fashion .

Like everygirl needs a little black dress .So every bloke needs a big black bike .63cm .

Please keep the remarks coming .This is a big decision and the retirement pressie at last .
