Cycle computer recommendations ? Not too expensive. I do not need anything fancy. Speed, distance, time, elevation ... the basics. I don't read power while riding. Would be nice to see heart rate though.

I refuse to ride with my phone so no dependencies there.

Thx !

I have the new battery for Bluetooth but not the module installed, will have a quick google on D-fly

Edit
the D-fly is the module I am waiting for to install

Ok, be sure to get the new version then. It came out like 2 years ago, so the old one (which I have) probably isn’t available anymore. I don’t have the Bluetooth battery, so I have to use the older model as the new one requires the BT-battery.

Read/watch DC Rainmaker’s reviews of the new Garmins (530 / 830). The are a bit pricey, but I wouldn’t call the 530 too expensive. I suspect the older (slower) models will become cheaper now, and maybe cheap second hand. Take a look at Den Blå Avis in the near future. If you want a simple/cheap one, a second hand Edge 25 is on DBA at kr. 500, which is roughly half-price.

Big watts for you on stage 4 Tommy - 300 average :notworthy:. I plan to have a go on Saturday so I hope there will be some fast-ish guys to drag me along to a reasonable time

Thanks mate. I’m sort of on my own in no man’s land at the moment so hopefully I can keep moving forward to get in the mix a bit more with you guys.

I’ve not really paid much attention but it seems like the races have bigger numbers earlier in the week.? 650 last night I think but 1000+ Monday. I might try switching my schedule round a bit. Good luck tomorrow!

On Tuesday there were a lot more people in it but I came roughly the same placing AND it was a slower time
Think a lot depends on what sort of day yourve had - and if there is a fellow ccer looming up on you humming the jaws music

The weather forecast is looking poor for tomorrow so I’m going to give stage 4 another lash - aiming for the 0730h and possibly the 0900h one a go as well.

I was out in Florence with work this week. I hired a bike out there from Tuscany Cycles - some nice climbing once you get out of the city and the roads were quiet but a lot of potholes the only problem coming down the descents.

Fewer people last night and I was faster...we don’t ALL need the draft;)

Maybe have a rest day or two before trying again. I've found making time for recovery is having good effects on my performance.

Also, in Zwift races (or these group ride/races) getting a fast start makes a big difference in my opinion even though it hurts
Mon, Tues, Thu or Tues, Thu, Fri seem to work pretty well for me. I've been riding a lighter schedule the last couple weeks, so I don't think there's significant fatigue to contend with.

My thinking for this stage was that there's enough riders that I'm likely always going to be drafting and ultimately the goal is best time for our league rather than beating folks on the road. So I figured best result would be more like a TT effort rather than bolting out of the gate to hold the fast group and fading badly at the end.

DIdn't really work out that way. I haven't really looked at any data beyond the ZP headlines to know where I might have lost time though. Not sure what strategy I'll use today ;-)

Doesn't look like I'll be able to do Stage 4 this weekend, so going to have to hold off until next week for the catchup week and do it then instead. The good news is that by the time I get to do it, my new PC should have arrived, so I'll be able to Zwift on the highest graphical settings, rather than on the lowest! Admittedly I only put it on that when I'm doing a big group ride like ToW; my current setup can cope with the one from lowest setting when I'm doing a solo non-event ride.
I think I'm gonna have 2 to do, 3 and 4. 3 was a lack of time, which then ran into the early stages of whatever I've had this week that has caused me not to do 4 or any of my scheduled workouts.

I'm feeling a lot better today so will attempt one of me shorter workouts for this week.
