Not sure what you found the answer to be .... but looks like it worked for you :notworthy::wahhey::wahhey::wahhey::wahhey::wahhey:

Nearly threw up at the end there. Frenetic.

The pace never let up enough for me to have enough energy to compete properly for many of the sprints. Think I picked up a couple of points a couple of times despite not great 5 second peak power. Big group of around 25 finished together at the end, hopefully a few dqs will push me up the table :whistle:

Interestingly I was nearly dropped the only time I thought I'd take a proper break from the sprint, and would end up sprinting to catch the group after the sprint - whereas when I went for the actual sprint it was quite calm for about a minute before the pack caught up and hr had time to calm down.

ZP had you 3rd .... is that not correct?

far to fast that start for me, I don’t think it helps knowing that there was B riders in the group , I saw a few messages mentioning the watts that where been put out by the lead group and questioning if they were c cat riders, , I got pb for my lap by about 20 seconds so happy ,

I don’t know if peeps know but I learnt on the cool down ride that if you click on the white circle around your arrow on the map on the companion app it will give mass ride ons to all those riders around you😀

Well Done Guys good race and results for Michael and Carl

Knackered. Even now, an hour after the race is over, I'm still completely spent.

And I was doing quite well in Cat D for a first effort (I think). Ignoring the two who were up the road doing entire laps at 4 w/kg, I'd stayed with the leading group of eight or so riders for almost the entire race and might even have won one of the sprints. Then on the climb up into the volcano on the final lap I screwed up my tactics and started to lose the wheels of the others - by the time I had realised what was happening, they'd gapped me and there was no coming back. So I just cruised across the line in 8th about 10 seconds down - probably will turn out to be 4th or 5th once DQs and non-ZPers are removed.

BREAKING NEWS:

God! That was awful!! :surrender::sweat:

More to follow. I'm off to eat my dinner :heat:
That was just insane.

I got dropped on the ramp after the start pens and was 5 seconds behind the group when it turned on to the bridge leading to the volcano circuit and my race was over as quick as that.

I momentarily thought of abandoning but then thought I'd ride and finish to pick up a point for the team, but effectively I did a 34km time trial. In some ways I'm pleased because I dug in and gave it everything, but with no draft and no one around me it was physical and mental torture.

I did actually catch and pass 1 guy and I moved up 2 more places. I don't whether they dropped out or not. I got caught on my 6th lap by the group with Paul, Steen and Lars in it and then I rode the whole lap with them without getting dropped before having to ride the last lap alone, where I nearly caught the guy in front of me. That said to me that I could hold the B level pace........... if I didn't have a C/D level start.

The silly thing is that I know how much effort I put in tonight and how that compared to my previous 5 races in C. I'm certain had I been racing in C tonight I'd have been in the front group.

Oh well. As somebody said, you get better by racing against harder opposition, so onwards and upwards. But there's a big temptation to sign up for C next week and take the DQ. Especially with the Crit Course. That really would be a lonely ride!
