I’m trying not to ruin my reputation for international diplomacy here…. But do you guys want to moan about the weather anymore!?

Get off the turbo, get out onto the road, and enjoy the sunshine before it starts pissing down with rain again!! :girl:
International relationships are not helped by making the other countries jealous.

Interesting couple of days for me - enjoying the weather @<Tommy> :sun::okay:

Yesterday morning I headed down to our local park. The Cycling Road Race of the Commonwealth Games 2022 is starting in our park and the BBC were there doing some promo filming and wanted our local club to be there. We answered a few questions and were then filmed doing some riding around the park.

In the evening I had my second Handicap Road Race. I thought our group was going to stay away until the end but the fast (young) group caught us with 1.6 miles to go. Good fun though and I was experimenting with a few breaks off the front.

Today I went paddleboarding with Wendy. Beautiful.

Tomorrow is 65 miles in the Peaks with some buddies.

Good morning, I have a Question regarding Zwift workouts. I very rarely do these and normally stick to group rides. Is there any difference in the time it normally takes for Zwift to process the activity and also to upload to Strava, compared to normal Zwift rides? I completed a group workout activity 45 mins ago and nothing on Strava and on my Zwift activities feed, I can see the activity and screenshots with headline data but if I click into the dedicated link to open up full details I don't get anything on the page except the normal Zwift banner and so forth, no actual activity information, it's like the ride didn't happen. Has anybody else experienced similar? I have a very vague recollection that in the past maybe a ride became corrupted and I may have had to contact zwift support via a ticket...

TIA

I do quite a few workouts (not group workouts, just standard Zwift ones from the menu) and they always load to Strava the same as any other ride. What you can do sometimes is manually load the FIT file to Strava ... although another technique that sometimes works is to log back on to Zwift, ride for a minute, and save that ride. It sometimes then triggers the earlier ride to save too.

Thanks I logged back in about 15 mins ago on the same device i normally use, deleted the dummy activity but still no joy. Don't know how I would get the FIT file as it is on Apple TV?

I use Apple TV and have had this issue once before. If you logon to the Zwift website you should see the broken activity in the list of recent activities. You can download the .fit file from there:

https://support.zwift.com/en_us/your-history-and-fit-files-SJbHywdNH

However, you mentioned that you deleted the activity? If you have deleted it then I doubt you are going to be able to recover it, but if anyone can help you it will be Zwift's support team.

Can you see the ride on Zwift.com? If so, then you can download from there ... go into the activity and towards top left of the screen you see a cog. Click the cog icon and you can download. Of course, if you can't see the ride in Zwift.com that won't work either.

Not sure how to get the FIT file from Apple TV

I can see it in the feed but cannot access it other than the tile in the feed. Thusly...

Clicking the main tile image to get into the actual ride page returns this:

So I threw my toys out and added the activity manually into Strava with screenshots to prove my innocence!

I don’t do the elasticated group workouts on a matter of principle, since they and elasticated meet-ups have cocked up all of the Strava segment leaderboards. Like @Whorty, I do quite a few workouts solo, either from the library on Zwift, or downloaded from the very extensive catalogue on whatsonzwift.com
I wouldn't ordinarily be seen dead on one but was a bit time crunched this morning and there wasn't any group rides slow enough at 6:30am.
Incidentally, the elastication-situation is potentially why it didn't load it up to Strava... hadn't thought of that?!

@Sittingduck , check out the thread here. It looks like you're not alone...
FWIW, I've been told that sometimes Zwift malforms the .FIT file if you exit too quickly after finishing an event or race. For this reason, I always ride on a little bit further (at least to the end of the next km) before quitting.

Thanks will take a read through. I did and normally do carry on for a cpl of mins post event finish too - sounds like just bad luck with Gremlins.
