Damn it! Just looked at Al's screenshots from his ride earlier and realised that while I did change my bike to a TT one, I didn't change my wheels, so they are the ones that were previously on there, which are climby ones, not aero ones. That's the problem with using a Tron for 90% of your rides; you forget that you can set wheels on other bikes and how much of a difference they make.

Looking at ZwiftInsider's stats, I might have lost 20-25 seconds by doing that. If the rules allow, I may have another dig at this course later on in the competition and see if better wheels and this time getting the pacing right (I didn't blow up or anything, but it was sub-optimal) gives me a better time.

I need another ~2000 XP to reach level 26 and unlock the Canyon Speedmax TT bike. One or two more ToW double-XP rides should get me there. It's meant to be the best TT bike in Zwift.

I think I’ve missed something. Do we need to do a solo ride of RGV for the Tour De Splitters this week?

Thought it was the meet-up on Tuesday and whatever bike we fancy, not TT?

Oh shoot. I don't think we said anything about more than one attempt. Go for it.

We are anxiously waiting @Norry1 ^_^

Thanks for all the good wishes guys.

It was a very windy day upa t 800ft on the exposed old airfield that is Darley Moor race track.

The good news is I was in 3rd place as we approached the final bend.

The bad news is I got swamped before the bend, before the slight uphill into the strong headwind and couldn't get back in the line very quickly - I crossed the line something like 20th (not seen the results yet). Poor racecraft. It wouldn't have mattered in Zwift, but in the real world I couldn't barge back in the line without causing a crash.

Still I enjoyed it. And although the av power wasn't sensational, I managed a NP of 270W for 91 minutes which I'm fairly pleased with.

Normalised power is the only one that counts and those are excellent numbers. Well done Martin.

Hi all newbie to the world of zwift . Just completed stage 2 of tour of watopia. Don't think I every tried so hard for 90 mins . Found myself in a blob moving quicker than I really wanted and hung on for grim death . 580th ish out of 1000ish so a bit average . Don't think riding 50km outside this morning helped .
