I am genuinely not interested in the explosive start of 45 min races that pretty much determines the outcome once the high V02 max peeps get away. Mainly sour grapes of course 😁 I can’t devotee enough time in between work and family to drag my V02 up from its already reasonably high level. And the recovery time needed then hits endurance riding.Its a shame there’s no appetite here for weekly TTT’s so I will join the ZsunR TTT’s late summer.

Set up a weekly TT league .. no drafting, TT bikes only, Splitters/CCC all start together. Not my preferred racing as I'd prefer to sit on someones wheel and sprint past them, but it's good to get out the comfort zone every now and then. Maybe Thursdays?

Edit: and the WTRL league has 2 TTTs each season, it's that's your focus then it would be perfect for the team (whether B or C). I think it's great the teams are mixed in what we all want to ride and 'specialise' in ... I hate the TTTs, love the VO2, sprint and surge flatter races ... something for everyone

TTT’s thursdays are a big ask for people racing Tuesdays. Also, as I know to my cost, you can burn out given limited recovery time.

Bloody house sale has fallen through. My buyer's solicitor said 2 weeks they are about to sign contracts ... then all went quiet. Found out yesterday the buyers had their mortgage application rejected. My estate agent mortgage broker spoke to the buyers, went through their numbers, and he said he can't see how they got this far in the process as base on the numbers he's seen they can't afford the house.

FFS .... have lost nearly 3 months and of course the market has changed in that time so few buyers out there now compared to early March.

I am not a happy bunny. Thankfully my headspace isn't too bad today.

Off to Bath to watch rugby later. Have a few ciders with my lady friend.

I suppose it could be worse ... I could be one of the poor sods in the Ukraine, so maybe I need to suck it up.
