It was a tough race- lots of big watt monsters in that B+ category! I had a go at the first sprint but bailed half way through as I knew I couldn't get top 10. Then I went for a 1km solo attack for the lap 3 points- it nearly worked but I got swamped just before the line - got 9th place on it though. Managed 9th on the finish line in the final sprint too. Happy with that because sprinting really isn't my strong point.

Do you know if the results have been published yet and if so, where to find them?
Zwiftpower should have them ranked by overall points now. They do get published on https://www.dirtracingseries.com/ but can't see them yet

Yesterday's C trials were a great event. We had some personal bests for the sprint and KOM climb. I got a new peak power and 15sec sprint power over 1100W, and still got beat by 3 others. Pesky Carl also peaked at over 1100W and thrashed us:okay:

Gives us a marker on what we need to work on, some cooling upgrades for some.

Enjoy C trials

Was great riding with you guys again. Fitness is definitely getting back on track. Still soreness in the leg but I think there is tendon damage and I may need an op but I don't have time for that just yet so I'll have to live with it and hope it doesn't pop again.

Was pleased with the sprint, and equally pleased that I could hold decent C numbers up the KoM. I'll never be a top C climber, but if I can gain some sprint points then all I need to do is hold my position on any KoM and I'll be happy.

I thought Tommy and returning 'Newcastle Brown Ale' Bob would be good additions :hello:

Err, not me. Piss poor power and stamina at the moment and for some time to come. Playing the long game. Anyways, racing is a young man’s game.

A couple of clips from my DIRT Racing series race from last night if anyone's interested.

- My solo attack for FAL points on lap 3 -
View: https://youtu.be/AE0xR1QsrIg?t=1814
. Nearly worked! Got 9th so 5 points which to be fair is more than I think I'd have got if I'd waited for the sprint. To be honest I realised a few seconds into it I had gone too early, but I had no choice to just commit and hang on in there!

- Finish

. In hindsight I should probably have saved my matches and tried the solo attack here when the sprinters were slightly more fatigued, but I didn't have the legs to try it again, and as you can see the watts were pretty high for the last KM anyway!

Good article on whether you get the aero/speed benefits of supertuck on a TT bike (even if your avatar doesn't move position) because I was wondering this - https://zwiftinsider.com/tt-supertucking/

(Although why Zwift couldn't have just told us the answer rather than Eric having to do all these tests I don't know )

Implications for the new TTT format for the upcoming ZRL where you can use TT bikes and get draft off them now - don't stop pedaling on even the fastest descents on a TT bike!
