I'm thinking about bringing back the Cyclopathy Friday Smash with a new format.

1 really short race, maybe a mile or so that will be over very quickly.
A reasonable period of recovery, which could either be done as a neutral start to race 2 or have a 10 minute gap.
Then a second race which would be about 15-20 minutes long.

To begin with, I think we would have just one pen with everyone in it, but would use vELO scoring, so it would be a private event.
Then we could adapt depending on how things go. Anyone like the sound of that?
Friday morning around 1030ish is the expected time-frame.

May come along when I have a Friday off. I remember having a good record when doing your races before.

Stupidly decided to go and do the Velos Klick earlier with ~90secs left until my coveyor launch, dying while trying to ~330W (from 4iiii crank PM) for ~90secs in 34T ring and 27T(?) sprocket at 100% trainer difficulty at ~80rpm on my semi-broken Direto was quite surreal!

It's given me silly ideas about trying at least one Tiny Race of a quartet tomorrow, as I've still not decided what to order to replace my broken H3.

If the Cyclopathy Friday Smashes return, I will try and show my face to be cannon fodder.

I’ve only just figured out who you are on the Zwift forums. Not that many people with recently dead Saris H3s about

I have schedules one race a week into my TrainerRoad Programme - so I'll try and give this a bash.

I couldn't join every Friday as I'm not always around, but when I am then yep. I'd be up for that :boxing:

We did race 1 a year or so ago and it took about 3 minutes.

We've got a few already. Quite a vELO range too...

3.25 years ago I wouldn't have been the heaviest rider and my rating would have been around middle of group in above graphic... At least the rest of you should all be in sight in the 2Km TT!🤣

Still not ordered a new turbo.

Was going to order a Core 2 from Zwift shop on Sunday night, but the £100 discount code expired without me realising the deadline.

Not so sure about buying a Jetblack Victory, as read about few problems. But it's been on the market for a year now, maybe newer firmware has fixed issues?

Now thinking maybe I should save money and get Van Rysel D100. 4iiii will give me cadence and more accurate power, plus it might get around the turbo's limit of 600W. Cassette version would only cost £170 with BLC, Click version £238 and also has 2 months Zwift voucher for new customers (maybe also current non-subscribers?).

The annoying thing is that my old Direto sort of works, did NYC Showdown race yesterday, but I'm limited to ~4 gears max and just two for z4/5 efforts
