I don't know how many Zwift miles I've done, and it seems such along time since I was regularly on Zwift.
Another easier week around the corner on TrainerRoad so will do another race. Once I've finished the TR block of workouts, I'll swap one TR for a Zwift race and also add some BigRingVR routes.

I'm in a similar position. I'm on week 3 of Sweet Spot Base on TrainerRoad - but I often ride with Zwift on the PC and TR on the android phone - doing TR workouts. It is hard to resist racing, but I felt I needed to get back to some basic training.

I did a few races, and found them great, but I was a C/B borderline, so if I went as hard as I wanted I got DQd and if I didn't I felt I wasn't getting much from it, yet was too weak to go up a category. That plus my focus being on weight loss rather than racing means I'm back to doing the training plans as with free rides I feel like I have to chase down whoever is in front, so I'm basically racing for no reason.

Once I've finished this 4 week programme, I'll do a few races through the early part of December, then take a break of christmas. If I can lose another 5kg by the end of the year, that should put me squarely in the B races, although still at the embarrassing end on the hilly ones.

600+Watts more than a one off sprint is extremely difficult to repeat upto a minute.

I saw a national track sprinter on video who only managed, yes only 700Watts for 1 minute before stopping of exhaustion.

I have a TR session coming up which has 21x650W micro burst sprints. I have a great deal of trepidation about this workout-gulp

This was really hard, the only reason I could do the 45s efforts was I had a 4:15 rest period between each one, even then it was tough. I've done the Wringer on Zwift which was easier (albeit at my previous FTP).

Even so I've had a couple of sets of cramps this evening which I don't usually get, so it's likely I'll be using hi5 zero tabs in future during these sessions.

I do the same with TR and Zwift and found i can sometimes push my self harder on TR so trying to get a pb on say boxhill I'll put up the intensity, did some over and unders beginning of the week and was able to go quite hard.

8 rounds of 3x200% sprints followed by 105% 4min block

By round 6, lactate was overwhelming and I was seriously struggling to hold form just couldn't muster anything for the last set:blush:
Just seen this on Strava Andy - looking at the power & HR charts on the analysis, you can actually see you gradually starting to crack towards the end!

What tipped me over the edge was the graphics suggested I do a minute of standing in the sprints or FTP block in session 6. That just blew my legs up

Ouch, that's a hell of an effort, 640W followed by an above FTP "rest period", is a bit tough.

Only just saw that now. For some strange reason your rides are not showing on my strava dashboard.

Made mistake of doing Pack Rumble in Jungle. So so slow. Much slower than advertised. Even though I was 5min slower than my best up KOM. I had to wait 6m for lead to begin to catch up. I became really cold and so rather than carry on waiting rushed off to start the jungle bit of the ride only to cramp a bit so bailed. It’s getting to be a habit.
