Currently in that place where you can either be at the pointy end of a C race (but feel like you're sandbagging) or come dead last in a B race.

Enjoy!
I really miss the Thursday TTT’s.
Cheers @bobinski . It's a bit of a rush to get on the trainer in time because my son's Beavers finishes at 7:15, it's a 10-to-15-minute drive home, and the race starts at 7:40.

Do short B races, then, so that you work your upper end power, aren’t plodding around for long on your own if/when you get dropped, and feel virtuous because you’re not a sandbagger!

Or do 3R races (as a B) where everyone starts together but you still have fun racing against C riders. ^_^

Agree re the 3R races ..... as a C, our lead group often picks up slower to mid B's. The group then becomes fast and competitive and more fund than just C's alone.

I'm riding with the AHDR Cheesecake Bombers this evening and our rotation is going to be 30s turns, except for these two monsters who'll be doing full one-minute turns... At least it's only a shortish course tonight...

If you read Zwift Insider‘s new review on how the pack dynamics affect TTT, it seems like they are saying that its less well suited to riding in a paceline and every rider taking a turn on the front.

Their conclusion seems to be that putting the 2 strongest riders on the front, with the rest of the team ‘churning’ behind looks faster now.

I’m certainly putting myself forward for a ‘churning‘ role from now on!

Excellent news, because that was always CCC's tactic anyway - not by design, more that it was the only thing we were able to do. Just kind of blob up and let one of the watt monsters of the team (usually @Joffey) set the pace at the front. All this pace line and 30 second turns stuff was far too complicated for our simple minds!

Yeah, I burnt out last autumn- racing Tuesdays and then the TTT Thursday was a bit too much for my little legs 😁
If you want an occasional guest ride for WTRL when ZRL takes a break, give me a shout and I may be able to help! As a bonus, you wouldn't have to ride with me, as I've cleared off to a morning ride slot!

Welcome .... and good luck on the fitness journey. Many of us were in a similar place when we first joined zwift and are much fitter and healthier now :okay:

Keep us updated on progress
