Well done mate! You even had the engird to abuse some Cat B sandbaggers as well

I didn't enjoy that. Went our a bit too quick at the start and got dropped on the KOM - didn't realise it was so close to the start! Then I shed places every time up it and ended up finishing at the back. Annoyed.
That B in the pens, just out for a recovery ride, was in front group all the way. Every time we tried to split the group, the Bs pulled it back together again. So annoying.

Same as you, didn't realise the KoM was so close to the start until we went on at that first junction ... needless to say, the air was blue where I was

Managed to hang on to the lead group though ... thankfully the KoMs were just short enough for me although I was ride on my limit going over each time. The last time I nearly lost the group but just managed to hold on.

Enjoyed that though, in a xx( kind of way

Trying my tablet to watch, I tried to take photos of Carls climbing and sprint finish. They've disappeared into the ether :cursing:. Im just finding my way around companion app with Zwift game. I think I managed to message all of the Cs . Well done everyone. Looked pacey and difficult for bigger riders. Front pack were holding 4.5-5.5 up the climbs.

Surely, by that time Carl will finally progress to B
Nah, it's based on best 3 95% of 20 minute power .... I'm still very much in C numbers. I did squeak into B a couple of years ago (on a different trainer), but just can't get there at the moment. So, I'll suffer and stay in C

Well done! :notworthy:

I was 78th according to ZP, I'll take that. Just 7 places and 4 minutes behind @Joffey ;) Best 5 min. power so far and all that at almost 1kg less than 3 weeks ago ^_^

It won't be long until you are up there. You wouldn't believe it but I used to dual with Carl at the front end about 6 months ago but moving house and rediscovering my love of chocolate has led to me dropping back down the rankings!

Keep at it and come January / February you'll surprise yourself.

Well done tonight :okay:

Definitely not great today. It didn't seem bad right after the ride but I don't recall ever feeling as drained as I am right now. Far from being used to racing.
Takes your body a bit of time to get used to racing and recovering. But the recovery is really important. You will get stronger for sure, just try not to over do it too early. Build a solid foundation and you'll be flying along soon :okay:

I feel a but sore but ok. If you are feeling drained maybe try some electrolight drinks when riding and a recovery shake afterwards. I sued to feel ill the day after racing but these seemed to help. I use:

When riding: https://www.scienceinsport.com/shop-by-need/hydration/sis-go-electrolyte-powder-500g

For recovery after a hard ride: https://www.scienceinsport.com/sis-rapid-recovery-powder-1-6kg

I scoffed at the idea of taking a protein recovery shake but I genuinely think it helps now. I should use it more.

There are cheaper versions out there but you can get decent discounts from SIS.
