Yes, a mandatory TT bike rule for next week’s race.

As you can’t automatically enforce that rule on a meetup, I suggest we have some sort of time penalty for anyone seen not using one (screenshot evidence required to convict!)

Even if we were in favour of draconian punishment that wouldn’t work.

Time penalty of slowest person + 10% 👍

We're all on here and know it's a TT next week so none of us should have an excuse not to use a TT bike

Since when did this become so serious that we have to threaten to punish eachother? If someone turned up on a normal bike it would be a mistake I’m sure. And then when it was pointed out to them they were on the wrong bike I’m sure they’d change bike. If the race had started they’d lose time. Isn’t that punishment enough?…

It wouldn’t work anyway. I’ve been in numerous ttt where someone is on a tt bike. But on other people screens it is showing as a normal bike. Maybe in that instance the guy on the tt bike could take a photo to show he’s on a tt bike. But I mean, I’d like to think there is a certain level of trust here.

I don’t know why you’d do anything other than a TT bike: the only advantage of riding a drafting bike is to draft, and, in a mass-start TT, to draft without being seen you’d have to be behind everyone else, i.e. last.

A decent time is 20 mins anything a few minutes below is quick. 15 mins is motoring
