Having a mix of short and long stages would make sense in a points based league, but for a GC competition, if it is to be fair to all types of riders, then the stages need to be similar lengths (at least in terms of time).

If I’ve just suffered up a mountain for nearly an hour, the very least you light guys can do is stick out a TT for 45 minutes!

I agree

I hear what you’re saying @Legs. But maybe having a 20 minute race won’t really split the field, or be the endurance test a longer race would be? You could have a shorter race with a big hill in it. But then that’s wiping out the bigger guys chances too?

I agree- it’s only fair.

So you're not going to support my suggestion of a 10 minute sprint stage then?

Dropped seat 5mm last night - no cramps but feel like I spent the entire ride doing the splits. Could hardly walk... Any suggestions?

Think I might move the saddle forward.
Oh god, not you as well! I can barely move this morning as I've buggered up my back. Having said that, I did feel a bit of a twinge on my way home last night, but while I was on the bike it felt totally fine, so I think it was an existing issue and not caused by last night's ride (or at least that didn't make it any worse). Certainly will be working from home today...

My legs hurt today too, which is unusual for me but probably indicative of how hard I was having to work last night. Definitely a good workout :okay:

I couldn't really disagree more. How long are the TTs in week-long IRL stage races?

You must really like plugging around on your own!

Different opinions on the TT stage and all valid... How about we find some kind of middle ground?

How about we set up a ~20 min. stage as @Legs suggests BUT for the purposes of the GC we extrapolate the results by multiplying the time by three?
