One more (virtual ride) for the year fellas?

I’m going to get on the bike around 8:00 / 8:30 tomorrow if anyone fancies some early morning most likely slightly hungover banter.

Here ya go..

@Whorty video of that race you did in B - looking at it back we did better in the sprint than we gave credit for, that was a big pack - you can see me go miles too early after Rick goes for a long one and then get reeled in.

Really enjoyed that ... well spotted :okay: A race that suited me, but even so I did ok given it was a B race

@cyberknight Hello! My drunken 10 pence worth...

When riding with power outside you freewheel so average ride powers are lower. Then you do Zwift and it seems a load harder as you are always peddling, especially if you are on a dumb trainer (the most horrible beasts on Zwift).

Using a dumb trainer with power isn't nice, there is no let up. I think the only way to make sure that your numbers are right is to test on the road and the trainer and recalibrate each time.

BUT my advice would be to a) forget the power and just set it at a level you are happy and are sweating and your HR is getting a work out OR b) change your life and get a smart trainer. I went (b) and never looked back and now went one step further and have a Wattbike.

Don't worry about numbers, just make sure you are working hard but most importantly, enjoying it.
