Slightly off topic....

Just ran my December 10K, which means I've completed my challenge of running at least one 10K a month thru 2021.

I've also managed to run over 500K in 2021, a new record for me.

Here's my Veloviewer info graphic for 2021...🏃🏼‍♂️

I’d heard it can make you go blind, maybe a sore wrist, but never any worse than that! Be careful, guys
Ah, yes... Good old dark humour. They say it's like AIDS - you either have it or not ;)

Need to take a few days off cycling lads - my right kneecap is not happy after the 100-miler. Incidentally - anyone knows a good bike fit place around York?

My riding has come to an end for this year.

Confirmed as another Omicron statistic along with my wife. Picked it up from my niece at sister in law's house on Christmas Day.

Been feeling a bit crap since 27/28 December and staying off the bike for now.

Hoping that my triple max status keeps it ok.

Happy New Year all!

about 70 miles into a club century peaks ride near Dovedale , guy taking it likes to do moving piccies with his phone, not something i would do
To be fair its a good piccie i cropped down to remove other riders
You really need to update your story, this is just not right for this forum ..... try this instead ....

"I made a break away from the pack with 10km to go. The camera bike came with me and caught my blistering, unstoppable surge in speed and power. I held off the chase all the way to the line to take victory."

Welcome to the forum ... enjoy Zwift and hopefully you will join us in races next year. Definitely 2nd what others are saying though, if you fancy fully immersed experience of Zwift then grab yourself a smart trainer of some description. So much 'nicer' on Zwift with a smart trainer :okay:

One more (virtual ride) for the year fellas?

I’m going to get on the bike around 8:00 / 8:30 tomorrow if anyone fancies some early morning most likely slightly hungover banter.
I did my best to join the early morning spin today - cycling kit ready by the bedside, water bottle filled and in its cage, alarm set for 7:45 and even placed at the far side of the room to make me get up - but 7;45 came around too quick and I took the easy option, hit snooze and crawled back to bed.

I’m Just finished an hour on the bike, topped off with a ramp test - my FTP is rising slowly and steadily since autumn (up from 255 to 275) and hopefully keeps going. i don’t think I’ll hit the dizzy heights of where I was a year or 2 ago but here’s hoping. Now to use 1/Jan to start to shift some weight.

Happy new year chaps!

NEO acting up or new Zwift update?

Did the Bambino Fondo this morning, after applying the Zwift update released yesterday. My NEO(2) would seemingly remove resistance somewhat randomly. Pretty annoying when climbing the Volcano at a steady pace and then it suddenly drops resistance, making me "over spin" for a few split seconds. At first I thought it was some kind of new pack dynamics doing the same as back on BKOOL, but the same happened when riding solo after the Fondo.

Didn't notice anything different on BKOOL last night, so has anyone else experienced the above today on Zwift?

I had all sorts of plans for today, ranging from doing my prescribed 2.5 hrs Zone 2 outside, to doing 85 miles on Zwift so I could rack up the mileage to hit 9,000 miles for the year and complete the Rapha 500.

In the end, I gave in to a motivation dip and (just) decided to do b#gger all today

Hopefully I'll start the new year with a bang instead (so to speak).

Probably a tight ITB.
Apologies in advance for pictures of my hairy leg. The pain is in the circled area, nowhere else:

No real soreness in any muscles, tendons and I can tap anywhere on the knee without any pain - with the exception of that little area. I can walk on flat OK, but can't really put pressure while the leg is bent.

Had identical issue with the other leg but went away on its own. Any suggestions on stretches/rehabilitation?

First ride completed since my layoff a nice and easy 15km. I went on and ticked off the NYC grand central and then the 6 train. Some nice little xp points too!

I'm hoping tomorrow I can do the first Fondo ride where I'll be choosing the 50km bambino with the intention of going medio next month then finally gran in March with the training plans in between.
