Didn’t somebody else on here make a rocker plate for themselves to use?
I feel like a few people have? Andy? Alan?

My turbo rocks react+ arrived yesterday and so far put in 4 1/2 hours on it. And perhaps an hour setting it up to how I liked after lifting the NEO bike on top.
I would never have made one let alone one with fore and aft movement too. I don’t have the tools skills or inclination.
A few Sufferfest erg workouts and a zwift endurance ride suggest it works for me.I am really enjoying the movement. It’s surprisingly demanding in the upper body! That might be the weight of the bike? Anyway I have missed the movement of the NEO OG. I have not noticed any loss of power and the erg workouts remained in HR range and rpe. I still have not nailed sprinting technique but not much of a sprinter anyway 😁
It’s by no means a necessary addition to the pain cave. It doesn’t properly replicate movement on the road but it does improve the ride for me.
YMMV

My Tacx Neo bike arrived earlier this week and I built it yesterday.

Put it on my rocker plate today and it went well. Tried a workout and a chase race and had a small improvement in average power.

Ride does feel different to me. It felt smoother, but at the same time it felt like you had to apply a more constant pressure. I like that as it does seem to encourage you to keep your pedal stroke smooth and your cadence even.

What do you other Neo bike riders think compared to when you were riding a direct drive turbo?

Del, try without the rocker and see if it feels the same? The rocker certainly seems to reward more even power and equal distribution of power fro either leg.

Not going to lie. I’ve had a fair bit a red wine this afternoon… are you saying you like the rocker or not? I’ve read your post 4 times and I still can’t work it out!

😂

I know you young kids like things simples, you know, no shades of grey and all that but I am genuinely hoping it’s the wine this time 😁

I like it.

I did my test ride on a friend’s Neo bike without a rocker plate.

Enjoyed the test ride, but think it was better on the rocker plate. But then I’ve been riding my old Neo on the rocker plate for over 18 months now.
