Well it's in everyone's interest to enter this week's race, because if you miss out it's my time that you're likely to be adding two minutes to and that's not going to be a competitive score.

Even at full fitness, I'd have been rolling round towards the back anyway, but this weekend has been the first time I've had a cold in two and a half years (a small benefit from masks and social distancing I suppose) and today I struggled to do 2.1 w/kg for a single lap on a recovery ride. Will no doubt be a bit better than that by Tuesday, but by how much is another question.
I’m in a similar position. Had a niggly bug since Tuesday- nothing awful but enough to take the edge off. Feel fine when dosed up on paracetamol, but only done low intensity efforts on the bike this week.

Hopefully it’ll act as an unintentional taper and I will end up on good form for Tuesday 😃

Guys I won’t be at my best on Tuesday, I haven’t been able to train because I’ve spent too long thinking up an excuse for not training!

Well I'd say that mine wasn't an excuse per se, more a warning to those thinking of skipping the stage, that my time +2 mins would be the one they'd be lumbered with!

I really have no idea how long tomorrow is going to take. Because the Strava segment starts at the banner, you miss it if you come out of the pens, so most of the people on here who have done the course, either did it not in a race so their listed time might not be all that fast, or like me they haven't matched the segment at all even though they do have the badge on Zwift.
